Good Thing Going On

Number five is “Good Thing Going On,” which is more of the melodic pop rock type tune, coulda been a hit for someone like Squeeze or Fastball, but my Deadhead inclinations are obvious nonetheless. Like the previous tune, this is augmented with a beautiful guitar solo from Fred Rodriguez. Fred and our Rosebud bandmate Lachlann Kane sweeten it with lush vocal harmonies. The original recording featured a Moog synth solo but the engineer and all my bandmates didn’t like the tone of the Moog and loved Fred’s dual guitar part. I loved them both, so the Moog will have to resign itself as a candidate for a later Outtakes release.
